Coronado Foundation for the Future, Inc.
A few years ago Andrea Michaels asked me to have lunch to discuss nonprofits. At that time I was the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona. After 31 years with the agency, I retired and began to do consulting for nonprofit organizations.
Andrea then invited me to a breakfast at Coronado. I was very inspired by the dedication of the faculty. My sense of fairness was aroused when I learned how much outside support the other Scottsdale schools received and how little Coronado received.
I just had to help so I joined the board of directors. This year I was honored to be elected the President of the board. Andrea is really a hard act to follow. She did so much for the school and we all appreciate her dedication. Her vision started the foundation and made it successful.
With the override not passing in the last election, the needs of Coronado are even greater.
